Day 20: Dreams

Prophetic dreams will change you!  Solomon had a dream that completely changed the rest of his life.  In 1 Kings 3, God visits Solomon and in verse 15, Solomon remarks that it was indeed a dream.  But this wasn’t an ordinary dream.  In this dream, God revealed His heart for Solomon and His plans for Solomon’s future.  This dream set the course for Solomon’s reign as Israel’s king.

God used prophetic dreams with many people throughout the Bible.  Why dreams?  In Song of Solomon 5:2, Solomon writes, “I sleep, buy my heart is awake; it is the voice of my beloved”.  God desires to communicate His heart to you.  He is always speaking but sometimes our minds are so preoccupied, God can only reveal Himself through dreams.

My prayer for you is that God will reveal Himself to you, even as you sleep.  Keep a notepad near you at night so that you can record dreams that may have spiritual significance.
